PAUL MCINTOSH: Music

MILES BETWEEN THE PLACES

A song for my oldest son.

Here's the keys to my old chevy son

I think my travlin days are all but done

throw out that tattered torn up  map that was mine

beat up searchin for the places I tried to find

THERES SOME ROUGH OLD ROADS OF GRAVEL AND BUSTED COBBLE STONES

AND YOU GOT SHINY BLACKTOP  WAITIN

JUST FALL IN LOVE WITH BUSY STREETS AND WIDE OPEN SPACES

LIFE  SON IS ALL ABOUT THE MILES BETWEEN THE PLACES

I hope you'll travel the worst roads with a friend

the kind thats always got a willin hand to lend

cuz you,ll meet folks who'll hitch a ride and wont pay gas

and some jump out and help you push before you even ask

THERES SOME ROUGH OLD ROADS OF GRAVEL AND BUSTED COBBLE STONES

AND YOU GOT SHINY BLACKTOP  WAITIN

JUST FALL IN LOVE WITH BUSY STREETS AND WIDE OPEN SPACES

LIFE SON IS ALL ABOUT THE MILES BETWEEN THE PLACES

and you will hear ir in your heart when it's time to change directions

the trick is.....to listen

THERES SOME ROUGH OLD ROADS OF GRAVEL AND BUSTED COBBLE STONES

AND YOU GOT SHINY BLACKTOP  WAITIN

JUST FALL IN LOVE WITH BUSY STREETS AND WIDE OPEN SPACES

LIFE SON  IS ALL ABOUT THE MILES BETWEEN THE PLACES
