PAUL MCINTOSH: Music

MIDNIGHT SWIM

This song was written remembering Friday nights at the Lakeview Hotel when I was a young guy out looking for adventure and the best party in town! It is on my first album "Harvest Drawing Near"

step into a small town barrroom find a seat and settle in

brace yourself the parties rollin and here comes buddy armed with gin

August sun was sure relentless feel it still upon your face

sweet young summer ladies dancin with a brown skin shinin thro the lace

DIVE INTO THE COOL DARK WATER AND FEEL IT SLIPPIN BY YOUR SKIN

CAN'T YOU HEAR THE WORLD IS  CALLING YOU

COME AND JOIN THE MIDNIGHT SWIM

THE MIDNIGHT SWIM

the room is primed with sweat and games that everybody hopes to win

you know its almost sure to happen and someone  whisper's "Midnight Swim"

the band is grinding out one last set  grab some beer throw in five bucks

who can drive climb aboard can someone else drive buddy's truck

DIVE INTO THE COOL DARK WATER AND FEEL IT SLIPPIN BY YOUR SKIN

CAN'T YOU HEAR THE  WORLD IS  CALLING YOU

COME AND JOIN THE MIDNIGHT SWIM

THE MIDNIGHT SWIM

In the freedom darkness has to offer

cotton lace and denim's piled high

feel the heat that lingers in the water

when your naked body's slidin by

DIVE INTO THE COOL DARK WATER AND FEEL IT SLIPPIN BY YOUR SKIN

CAN'T YOU HEAR THE WORLD IS CALLING YOU

COME AND JOIN THE MIDNIGHT SWIM
